In todays busy and demanding society,
counselling may not be accessible to
everyone, for a number of reasons.
One of those reasons, may be the logistics
of time and travel. That is where telephone,
text based, and online therapy can help.
The British Association of Counsellors and
Psychotherapists, state that sometimes people
choose online or phone counselling
appointments because it’s easier for them
to access or fits with their lifestyle or
working hours better. It also means they’re
not restricted to finding a therapist who is
based near them.
The coronavirus pandemic led to an
increase in therapists offering online or
phone counselling. Many say they’ll
continue working in this way in the future.
Anxiety and social discomfort may also
deter a person from seeking counselling.
Telephone, text based and online
counselling, enables the client to access
the support they need, in a way that's
completely safe for them, without having to
even be face to face.
As well as talking therapy, Creative therapy
can also be accessed remotely. The world
of remote interaction has become evermore
popular, and relied upon by many since the
Coronavirus pandemic, and with this, came
more ways to use therapeutic tools
Creatively.
So whether you prefer face to face
interaction, or like to keep things remote,
counselling can still be accessed, from
wherever you are mentally, emotionally,
physically.
