A little about
Me
Firstly, thank you for being here. I am Kirsty, a Qualified Neurodivergent Affirming Counsellor, and I am Accredited by the NCPS. I have over 18 years of lived and professional experience working with Neurodivergent Individuals and their families. I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling, and I am currently undertaking a selection of training courses, looking to enhance my knowledge continuously. I am passionate about creativity, and therapeutic benefits this holds, and as such, I complete regular training in nature and creative therapies.
I am also passionate about accessibility, and after specific training in this, I offer online video. telephone and digital text therapy, accommodating remote based Counselling.
Within my practice, I work with an affirming, non- judgemental and empowering approach, and mainly work with Neurodivergent adults and children, and their families. Inclusive of the Neurodivergent community, I also work with clients within the LGBTQIA+ community. Working in this way, allows me to meet my clients wherever they may be, and this can sometimes involve working with Identity, Processing Neurodivergence and diagnostic routes, Burnout, Masking, Social expectations and conformity, Inner Child, and so much more. As a Neurodivergent Affirming Counsellor, Self Identification as a Neurodivergent person is valid and welcomed.
Seeking Counselling can be a daunting process, and one that can be challenging to navigate. During this process, I offer a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and options no matter your situation. I believe that each individual is unique and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs, an empowering collaboration.

This may be in the form of using nature based forage in sessions, or working through a creative nature based mindfulness exercise, and much more. I am also able to support you to utilise creative aspects within the session, such as small world, nesting dolls. paint, art and more. All of which can also be conducted remotely. I offer 90 minute Creative based sessions, to enable the enhancement of an immersive creative activity.

Counselling in person, may not be accessible, and may not suit everyone. I offer Remote Based Counselling, which can make Counselling accessible for all. This may enable you to access Counselling in a way that is more suited to you needs, and this may be via telephone, online platforms, or text and email based chat. When working remotely, it is still possible to incorporate all aspects of creative therapy, such as CBT cards, small world, and more, all in the comfort of your own home, or wherever you choose to be. During these sessions, you are free to move around if you wish.
